Areas of Expertise
Beatrice Njeru
Assistant Lecturer

Beatrice is a communication and communication skills lecturer. Her area of expertise is in Organisational Communication, which her final doctorate study is on. She has research interests in the constitutive attribute of communication, and how this can be applied in understanding the role of communication in the constitution and de-constitution of various phenomena.

 

She is keen on improving academic writing standards for university students and staff, and founded the Strathmore University Writing Centre. She has interests in educational research especially in classroom practice, and has been nominated twice for the Lecturer of the year award- 2009/2010 and in 2013.

 

Beatrice sits in the School of Humanities Research Committee and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
