Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BAC)

 

Why study a BAC degree course?

The BAC programme is a pathway to becoming a public relations or communication for development practitioner who utilizes the tools of language and communication effectively. The course will equip you to be able to communicate effectively in culturally diverse settings, interpersonal and professional contexts, as well as in public relations, advertising, event planning, sales and teaching. The curriculum includes proficiency in a foreign language which will give you a competitive edge.

 

Career Opportunities

The graduates are prepared to become news reporters, public relation officers, development workers in governmental, non-governmental and international organisations.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • KCSE (or equivalent examination) with a minimum aggregate of C+
  • A Level &IGCSE 6 Bs and above or IB 24 pts 5 in English and 4 in Mathematics

 

Entrance Examination

Applicants will be required to attend and pass an appropriate entrance examination which will include an aptitude test in Mathematics and English as well as a personal oral interview.

 

Applicants should report to the university by 8.00am on the day of the interview and should bring along the following:

  • 3 passport-size photographs
  • Original and photocopies of all relevant academic testimonials.
  • Copy of National ID / Birth Certificate / Passport
  • Student entrance examination fee of Kshs 1,500
