Why study a BIS degree course?

The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (BIS) equips you with skills that will enable you to effectively start a career in organizations that traverse national boundaries in public service as well as private enterprise within culturally and legally diverse settings. It will develop you to be a person of high integrity who can interact effectively with the international community. The curriculum includes proficiency in an international language which will give you a competitive edge.

The graduates are prepared to become diplomats, foreign liaison officers, international project officers and managers, international business developers, cross-border entrepreneurs, mediators, and international development workers in governmental, non-governmental international establishments.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • KCSE (or equivalent examination) with a minimum aggregate of C+
  • A Level &IGCSE 6 Bs and above or IB 24 pts 5 in English and 4 in Mathematics

 

Entrance Examination

Applicants will be required to attend and pass an appropriate entrance examination which will include an aptitude test in Mathematics and English as well as a personal oral interview.

 

Applicants should report to the university by 8.00am on the day of the interview and should bring along the following:

  • 3 passport-size photographs
  • Original and photocopies of all relevant academic testimonials.
  • Copy of National ID / Birth Certificate / Passport
  • Student entrance examination fee of Kshs 1,500
