Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Ethics (Ph.D in Applied Ethics)
Strathmore University’s Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Ethics is designed to produce ‘thought leaders who can positively influence the ethical and social-economic development of society. The program seeks to equip graduates with ethical knowledge and skills that can be applied to; governance and law, research and teaching, science and religion, medicine, military, business management, and all other fields that engages with humans.

Classes are run on a modular manner, two-weeks of physical class every four months, in the first year of study.

3. A certified copy of your national ID or passport (bio-data page).
4. A signed updated CV in the Europass CV format (https://europa.eu/europass/en)
5. 2 duly filled reference forms (herewith attached) from former undergraduate/ graduate professors qualified to attest your qualification for graduate studies.
6. Certified copies of your Undergraduate and Master’s degree certificates and transcripts of records (or their respective equivalents) showing the full details of the units studied and the grades scored.
7. A certified copy of your KCSE certificate or equivalent.
8. A copy of your thesis/research work undertaken at Master’s level.
9. A concept note of about 2,000 words (approx. 5 pages) on the research idea you would like to write on.
The concept note should capture the following indicators:
• Research gap
• Problem statement and Research Questions
• Methodological approach
• Contribution to knowledge
• Proposed references
10. Kshs. 6,000/- application fee (non-refundable).
Note:
1. Applicants with degree qualifications from other jurisdictions (other than Kenya) are required to provide a Letter of Recognition from CUE.
2. Applicants with High School qualifications from other jurisdictions (other than Kenya) are required to provide a Letter of Recognition from KNQA (Kenya National Qualification Authority).
